Strategic Dialogue: ISI Visits Indonesia Defense University (Unhan RI) to Strengthen Collaboration

On July 14, 2025, Indo Pacific Strategic Intelligence (ISI), led by Dr Muhammad Hadianto, held an official audience with the Rector of the Indonesia Defense University (Unhan RI), Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Dr. Anton Nugroho. The meeting served as a platform to explore potential collaboration in the areas of defense diplomacy, strategic studies, and professional development in the defense and foreign policy sectors.

ISI presented its vision as a national think tank, aiming to serve as a force multiplier in supporting Indonesia’s foreign policy and good governance in the defense ecosystem. Key initiatives discussed included joint research, academic publications, professional certification programs, and integration of Unhan alumni and students into ISI’s international research network.

The Rector of Unhan RI welcomed ISI’s proactive engagement and expressed full support for functional and sustainable synergy. Both parties agreed to formalize the partnership through a Cooperation Agreement (PKS), building upon an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This strategic collaboration is expected to reinforce Unhan RI’s position as a center of excellence in defense education and research, while strengthening ISI’s role as a national strategic thought partner in navigating Indo-Pacific dynamics.
